A mouth-watering Mancunian double bill, with the dreamy pop of Marie Franc supporting another one to watch… Georgian. Writing out of Manchester and recording in Amsterdam, Georgian’s output is a soft bloom of sullen 60s psychedelia and folk horror peppered with southern gothic inclinations. Sonic Boom meets Club Zukunft from Zurich. Peter Kember, also known by his stage name Sonic Boom, was founding member of the almighty psychedelic band Spacemen 3 . His other projects include Spectrum and Experimental Audio Research (E.A.R) and various musical collaborations with a number of artists such as Panda Bear, Stereolab, Britta Philipps & Dare Wareham, MGMT, Beach House, Cheval Sombre, Sinner DC and others. People Like Us Present… Juicy, revved-up, agit-rockers Young Knives, plus John Mouse and DJ Richard Hector-Jones. Young Knives hail from Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Formed in 1998, the band consists of Henry Dartnall on guitar and vocals, Thomas Dartnall on bass and vocals, and Oliver Askew on drums. Lead singer Henry affectionately refers to his younger brother Tom as ‘The House of Lords’ due to his knack for vetoing his ideas. Together, they create a unique sound that has captivated audiences since their inception with their catchy melodies, energetic performances and infectious hooks. More>
